        Scala Senior backend software engineers are required by a well known IGaming software house company based in Malta.

        The successful Senior Java/Scala engineer will be joining a small, close knit Agile extremely talented engineers working on creating a set of RESTful APIs on an open source (Scala/Akka, Java 11, PostgreSQL) stack.

        The successful candidate should have the following qualities:

        • 5+ years experience in Scala or 8 years in Java with proficiency in Spring / Hibernate. Experience in Scala will be considered an asset
        • Is passionate about coding and loves to learn and share new concepts and techniques.
        • Can work in a flat organisation where ideas (rather than people) ‘win’ at the end of the day.
        • Can write functional code and understands the benefits of immutability. A sea of immutability with islands of mutability.
        • Is not fixated with a particular language/technology but rather with the underlying concepts and ideas.
        • Is eager to collaborate with other smart people to create an amazing casino product.
