Analog IC Design Engineer – building a Quantum Computer – UK or Remote

Analog IC Design Engineer needed for a company working on technology that could change computing. They are building a quantum computer – if they get it right their machine will be able to process calculations that would take current super computers BILLIONS of years!

They have already received major funding and are looking to expand. They are expanding their Analog Design team. Currently it is a team of two, and they are looking to add to this. They are looking for both a Senior/Principal as well as mid-level designer.

You’d be joining at an early stage of the companies development so you will have real ownership and ability to shape the technical direction. They are in the process of raising Series A to continue their expansion, so they have big growth plans!

You’d also be joining a really experienced and talented team, who have worked at companies such as NXP, Analog Devices, Google, Apple, IBM, Texas Instruments and more!

What will you be doing and who will this suit?

As an Analog IC Designer among your responsibilities you will:

        • Designing custom mixed-signal IC’s
        • Be a key contributor to the design, verification and layout of mixed-signal circuits
        • Take ownership of analog/mixed-signal circuit blocks from requirements through to design and tapeout

This opportunity is perfect for someone who wants to be part of something new. Who would love the chance to join a start-up (with the benefits AND risks this brings) and help shape the complete direction of the technical development of the company. It won’t suit someone who wants a big corporation, but if you want to have more ownership and impact and be part of a journey that could change computing then this is the role for you!

        What will you need?

As they are looking for both Senior/Principal and Entry level/mid-level designer the experience on the below will depend on your seniority, but they are broadly looking for:

        • Good experience designing circuits implementing a strong understanding of analog/mixed-signal IC Design fundamentals and theory
        • Experience in the use of Cadence design tools
        • Knowledge of areas including DACs, switched capacitor circuits, op-amps, voltage references and low power, low noise and very high-stability circuits would be a bonus!
        • A passion for joining a startup and for Quantum Computing.

        What can they offer?

They are based near London. They are happy with someone either working onsite or remotely. They have a decentralised team, with members as far away as Silicon Valley, and people across Europe.

Competitive salary, and really good pension and equity options too!
